Corel develops and delivers graphics, productivity, and digital media software.  It is known for producing software titles such as CorelDRAW, for having acquired Jasc Software, developers of Paint Shop Pro, in October 2004, and other major companies and products such as Ulead Systems and WordPerfect.

Corel was founded by Michael Cowpland in 1985, as a research laboratory. The company had great success early in the high-tech boom of the 1990s with the product CorelDRAW, and became, for a time, the biggest software company in Canada.

Corel’s headquarters are in Ottawa, Canada, with major offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Taiwan, China and Japan. Its products are available around the world through a well-established network of international resellers, retailers, original equipment manufacturers, online providers and on our websites. Corel’s product line includes CorelDRAW® Graphics Suite, Painter®, Corel DESIGNER® Technical Suite, PaintShop® Pro, VideoStudio®, WinDVD®, WordPerfect® Office, and WinZip®.
